Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps Performance in Ukraine Q1 2023

During the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 navigation and maps applications in Ukraine showcased a range of performance metrics across downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers a detailed look into how these apps fared on a unified platform.

Google Maps Go saw weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at around 25K and peaking at nearly 50K in the week of March 20. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 1.3M to 1.4M throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a significant jump in downloads mid-March, reaching 25K, up from the lower range of around 12K to 15K earlier in the quarter. Active users showed a steady increase from approximately 270K in January to over 280K by mid-March, before slightly declining to 266K by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth demonstrated a steady rise in downloads, starting from about 5K at the beginning of the quarter and peaking at 13.8K by mid-March. Active users remained consistent, averaging around 45K.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation showed an upward trend in both downloads and active users. Downloads increased from 4.8K to a high of 11.8K by mid-March. Active users followed a similar pattern, rising from 11.8K to 26.4K over the same period. The app also generated modest weekly revenue, peaking at $17 in the last week of March.

Yandex Maps and Navigator had a notable increase in downloads, especially in March, reaching over 8.5K. Active users climbed from around 212K at the start of the quarter to a high of 248K by mid-March, before settling at 219K at the end of the quarter. The app also saw weekly revenue figures peak at $67 in late February.
